The first mention of the village Dzwirzyno come from the
thirteenth century, the name probably derives from the Slavic
word dźwirze, meaning doors, gates. Until the nineteenth
century was Dzwirzyno fishing village, and in 1978 acquired
the status of the spa, which significantly contributed to its
further development. Dzwirzyno is located just 12 km from
Kołobrzeg, between the shores of the Baltic Sea and Lake Resko
Przymorskie, strait connecting the water called Resko Canal,
where the harbor and yachts and windsurfing. Dzwirzyno is
known for one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the coast,
and one of the cleanest marine bathing areas. Covered with
pine forest, dunes stretch along the coast and form a
picturesque view. The area of Lake Resko Przymorskie fond of
water sports enthusiasts and anglers. Visitors are also
